Principles of Community-Based Behavioral Health Services for Justice-involved Individuals: A Research-based Guide
The document is intended for both behavioral health providers practicing in the community and agency leaders/program developers who shape the delivery of services. It provides guidance on best practices for clinical and case management approaches when delivering services to people involved in the criminal justice system with behavioral health disorders. The document also provides eight principles that inform community-based work with this population.
