State-Level Data Integration Efforts in Tennessee
Since 2017, the Tennessee Department of Health’s Office of Informatics and Analytics (TDH OIA) has collaborated with state-level partners to build a robust multidisciplinary action group focused on near real-time drug overdose data. This webinar will discuss how TDH OIA develops dynamic data visualizations that inform partners about current drug overdose trends. The data visualizations (e.g., dashboards and data briefs) are utilized by internal TDH departments and external state partners to support and accelerate evidence-based decision making for public health response and prevention activities. During this webinar, participants can learn more about the essential elements of developing effective data visualizations as well as lessons learned from the TDH OIA experience.
