Through its Family and Social Services Administration Division of Mental Health, Indiana has used COSSUP funds to strengthen and implement a multi-component approach to their local adult and youth substance use programming. Substance use programming strategies were maximized through a braided funding approach in which subgrantees leveraged multiple local groups and leaders to mobilize their efforts in law enforcement assisted diversion (LEAD) programming, Quick Response Teams (QRTs), and family and adolescent programming.
