Law Enforcement Training Series—Fentanyl Exposure: Knowing the Facts as a Law Enforcement Officer (Part Two of a Two-Part Series)
The ongoing increase in overdose incidents across the nation also presents increased occupational safety risks for law enforcement officers, including needle stick injuries and exposure to drugs. Without proper training and education, these risks can result in unnecessary harms. This series of two training videos and companion fact sheets provides an evidence-based approach to increasing the safety of first responders and the community.
This video is part of a series that emphasizes the importance of effective tools and evidence-based training to manage high-risk health situations, particularly in relation to the concerns that law enforcement officers may have about fentanyl exposure. This video series is a valuable resource designed to equip officers with the knowledge they need to navigate the challenges of the field, including fentanyl exposure and needlestick injuries.
