Sarah Chivers is a peer recovery supervisor with the Cook Inlet Tribal Council in Anchorage, Alaska. She shares her personal story of recovery, which began on August 12, 2019, including how her role as a parent to two children and her own mother’s influence played a part in taking the steps needed to begin recovery. The strength-based approach to recovery was helpful for her.
