National Sheriffs' Association ODMAP Webinar
The ODMAP tool, supported by the Baltimore Washington HIDTA, is an effective resource recently developed to help law enforcement and public health professionals understand the impacts of this epidemic and how to plan a response. This Web-based application provides a data repository and geographical analysis tool that not only depicts hot spots for users addressing these problems, but also collects public health and law enforcement data for use by analysts working with partners to develop response initiatives.
ODMAP provides an easy-to-use interface and a set of effective analytical tools and allows jurisdictions to establish “spike alerts” so that immediate responses can be launched based on sharp increases in incidents. It will also provide guidance to prospective users on how to get started with ODMAP.
Presenters:
- Mitch Cunningham, National Sheriffs' Association Consultant and Training Coordinator for Law Enforcement Continuing Education, Cape Fear Community College–North Campus
- Aliese Alter, Senior Program Manager, ODMAP and Case Explorer, Washington/Baltimore HIDTA
- Jeff Beeson, Management Coordination, Washington/Baltimore HIDTA
