Lori Mellinger is a training program manager with Faces and Voices of Recovery, a national recovery organization trying to “change the way addiction and recovery are understood, embraced, and advanced through advocacy, education, and leadership.” She shares her personal story of recovery, which began in 2013, including details of incarceration for possession that played a role in causing her to begin her recovery, and the community that supports and centers her as she continues her recovery journey.
