The Craven County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina is utilizing a federal Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) grant for an inmate substance recovery program. A three-year federal grant of $970,757 was awarded to the office to provide services to inmates impacted by substance abuse and mental health problems to get them on a better path once they leave jail.
