Peer Ethics

This training was developed to help you learn about the five core steps to effective integration of peer recovery support services (PRSS). This module will define the differences between ethics, morals, and laws. This module will also explore issues around confidentiality, boundaries and risk management and describe the core values of peer support. You will learn how to identify four key ethical domains for peer recovery support services (PRSS), describe common ethical challenges that peer specialists face across the Sequential Intercept Model, and develop an ethical framework for your PRSS program.

“Peer practitioners have a responsibility to uphold ethical behavior while helping those seeking recovery achieve their personal goals.”
